David Lee is a Managing Principal at New Kent Consulting. David specializes in evaluating core competencies and developing competitive strategy. Additionally, David has strong skills in product development and technology.
David is a retired Sr. Vice President at Lexis Nexis (Lexis), an information services and technology company whose parent is Reed Elsevier. While at Lexis, he was responsible for the business that provided risk management solutions to the financial services, collections, healthcare and investigative markets. Additionally, he was responsible for Lexis’ pre-employment screening business.
Prior to joining Lexis, David was the EVP & Chief Business Officer at ChoicePoint Inc. (CPS), a NYSE data and technology company acquired by Reed Elsevier in late 2008 for more than $4B. In this capacity David headed the insurance, pre-employment, public records and direct marketing businesses, and was instrumental in the development of the company’s flagship insurance underwriting business. Prior to joining ChoicePoint, David held a number of leadership positions at Equifax and Accenture.
Lee has over 30 years of business experience providing data and technology solutions to the insurance, financial services and human capital management industries and is well respected for his ability to advise executive management on issues of strategy, competitive advantage, and market/product opportunity.
He is a former adjunct professor at Georgia State University, where he taught business strategy in the MBA program at the J. Mack Robinson School of Business, and enjoys speaking engagements with high levels interaction.
David is a graduate of Auburn University (BS – Finance), and earned his MBA from Georgia State University. David and his wife Ellen split their time between Atlanta and Orange Beach, Alabama, having residences in both locations. They have one adult son.
