Doug Curling is the founder of New Kent Capital (www.newkentcap.com) a family-run private investment company. At New Kent Consulting, Doug heads up our M&A practice and is often the first contact inside the firm from potential clients.
Doug is the retired President, COO & Director of ChoicePoint Inc, a NYSE technology company acquired by Reed Elsevier in late 2008 for more than $4B. Prior to joining ChoicePoint, Doug held a variety of finance and technology positions at Equifax, RJR Nabisco, Del Monte Foods and Ernst & Young.
Curling serves on both the Board of CoreLogic (NYSE:CLGX) and Aaron’s, Inc (NYSE:AAN) – as well as a number of private company Boards/Advisory Boards including Social Intelligence, Teach Privacy and Vehcon. Additionally, Doug is active in the non-profit community and serves on Boards/Advisory Boards for GivingPoint, The Cottage School, Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business and The Virginia Tech Foundation. He is a frequent speaker on leadership, entrepreneurship and privacy.
Doug is a graduate of Virginia Tech (BS – Accounting, MS – Accounting) and is a CPA. He lives with his wife Donna (35 years) on a quiet street in Roswell with a menagerie of pets and a large collection of guitars and fishing rods. They have three adult children.
